When first joining your minecraft server you are not able to access any commands that are available for administrators. To fix this you must "OP" yourself.

OP is the highest possible permission you can get. IF you have op you can access everything. So be coutious on how you hand those out.

To op someone you need to access the server console: here

Start you server

Join the server

In the console type the following:
OP playername

Remember to change "playername" to your actual in game name. You need to be online to be able to become an operator.
